7 minors were rescued by elements of Anti-Cybercrime Group, Eastern Mindanao Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and Children Protection Division (WCPD) during a raid at their cybersex den on Saturday. 2 adults were arrested as they were caught performing lewd acts in front of web camera. The rescued minors were brought to the City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) for proper disposition. Laptops and Mobile Phones used as an instruments to promote and broadcast live child pornography were brought to Regional Digital Forensic Laboratory 11 for cyber forensic examination. Regional Chief of CIDG J. Pernito he said the offense falls under qualified trafficking a non-bailable offense and if convicted the suspects face life imprisonment and fine of Php 2 Million to Php 5 Million. Pernito also said that the arrested suspects admitted to the crime saying their families are in dire need of money so they engaged in Cybersex which pays them in US$ via online transaction.
