The wages of foreign domestic workers from third countries ( outside EU ) working in Cyprus is determined by the Ministry of Labour with only reference to the country of origin.
For foreigners coming from the Philippines , the minimum monthly wage is € 310 and for people from Sri Lanka ( and probably other countries) is € 290.
The employment contract which includes the terms of employment , ie benefits and commitments , holidays , leave, working hours, etc are exactly the same.
The Greek and Filipino Community is under shock because they dont know if matter the color of their skin ? or if Greece, the Greek Ministry of Labour, will follow Cyprus soon
