Philippine National Police in Monday had made a report for the arrests of 600 individuals in violations of Firearms Ban. It has been implemented last September 27, 2013; The counts are 551 civilians, 7 police officers, 21 security guards, 6 government officials, 5 from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and lastly 3 from the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit or CAFGU. The National Police has confiscated 492 firearms, 194 bladed weapons, 68 grenades, 18 firearm replicas, 4,059 ammunitions and 289 explosives. The Police has also arrested 153 individuals for violating liquor ban. Gun ban will still be effective up to November 12 to 15. The liquor ban has been implemented at 12:01 a.m. Sunday and will be lasting throughout the main day of the barangay elections.
