Businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the Php 10 Billion PDAF Scam, wont be become state witness. Pres. Aquino said Napoles may have to spill the beans about the Pork Barrel/PDAF Scam for the government to consider her as possible state witness, while the Dept. of Justice (DOJ) is closing it's doors on her. The president said it is "premature" to have Napoles as state witness since she has clammed up about the alleged misuse of congressional Pork Barrel Funds and doesn't appear the least guilty. Pres. Aquino recalled a text joke about Napoles who can't remember anything when the TV Program "Maalaala Mo Kaya" was supposed to produce an episode about her life story. So far it's still like that I haven't heard that she wants to share information so how can we say she should be a state witness if she doesn't give any information, PNoy told media in Pilipino after attending a travel expo in Pasay City. Yesterday, DOJ said the door remains open to all those who are willing to help the government in their continuing investigation into Pork Barrel/PDAF Scam, except for Janet Lim Napoles. Justice Sec. De Lima disclosed that several conduits who channeled funds to Napoles are now sending feelers, stating their willingness to show up and cooperate in the ongoing investigation being conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) into the alleged misuse by some lawmakers of their multi-billion Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF). Among those who were reported to have expressed willingness to cooperate with the government were Pauline Labayen, the former appointments staff of Sen. Estrada and actor Mat Ranillo III. Sen. Trillanes IV was unimpressed with the testimony of Ruby Tuason before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee saying she appears to be withholding information concerning Senate Minority Leader Enrile. Sen. Guingona III shrugged off Sen. Estrada's allegations that he mishandled the Senate Inquiry and committed an "Offensive Foul" against fellow senators. Sources in the NBI said that Technology Resource Center (TRC) Dir. Gen. Cunnanan, who was among those charged with plunder for allegedly diverting billions of funds to NGO's put up by Janet Lim Napoles, was accepted as a witnessin the PDAF Scamlast Friday. Cunnanan had earlier admitted his agency got some Php 2.450 Billion worth of Pork Barrel/PDAF Funds from lawmakers from 2007 to 2009, of which Php 500 Million was channeled to Non-Government Organizations (NGO's) put up by Janet Lim Napoles.
