Spirit of Makeshift Christmas Celebration in Super Typhoon Yolanda hit Areas

A Pilipino ex convict Raul Moralita age 49 fixes his Christmas tree on top of his makeshift house in the typhoon devastated City of Tacloban, Leyte Province in the Philippines on Dec. 24, 2013. Town officials have launched a contest for the best Christmas decorations among the villages in the City of Tacloban with a 1st prize of some 1,694 euros. The destruction and loses in lives and properties cause by Yolanda are casting a pall over the holiday season, in a country known for having the world's longest celebration of Christmas. According to the Philippine disaster relief agency 6,102 people were killed and 1,779 were still missing from Yolanda's onslaught.
