Telecommunication companies have agreed to offer free 25 text messages to the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda the National Telecommunication Commission announced on Wednesday. Companies such as Smart Communications, Globe Telecom, Touch Mobile and Sun Cellular said free text messaging can be availed from November 13 to 17 in Tacloban City, Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Leyte, Northern Cebu and Samar. Smart and Sun Cellular subscribers need not register to avail the SMS load which will be automatically received at the start of each day. For Globe and TM subscribers, the free service can be availed by texting BangonPinoy to 8888.
