Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao has asked the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) to cancel more than the Php 2.2 Billion deficiency taxes imposed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. It has been the alleged unpaid income tax from his 5 fights in the U.S. in 2008 and 2009 as well as the Php 32 million VAT or Value Added Tax as being an endorser of various commercial products. If required to pay the full assessment, he said, he would be returned to his humble beginning because the amount was more than his current Net worth.
