Airport in Pakistan voted the worst airport in the world, second that of Manila in the Philippines

The Airport of Islamabad in Pakistan voted the worst airport in the world in large annual opinion poll,  winning the first place from that of Manila in the Philippines who was holding the lead in the last three years.


The International Airport of Islamabad "Benazir Bhutto" won first place as the worst airport in the world from a survey site «Guide to Sleeping at Airports». Participants voted on the basis of comfort, facilities, cleanliness and service quality to passengers while they had the opportunity to accompany their view with brief comments.

Many of them mentioned that the airport of Pakistan is "like a prison" with "aggressive checkpoints" dirty and always crowded.

In the top five list are the international airports of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, the Kathmandu airport in Nepal, the Manila airport in the Philippines and the Tashkent airport in Uzbekistan.
