A Magnitude 4.6 Earthquake struck early Sunday the province of Surigao del Norte, Surigao City and Butuan City. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PhiVolcs) said the epicenter was traced 23 Km South West of Malimono town, in Surigao del Norte with a depth of 19 Km and is of tectonic in origin. Intensity 4 was also felt in Surigao City while Intensity 3 in Butuan City and Intensity 2 in Camiguin Island Phivolcs added. The tremor was recorded at 5:50 am Sunday. No casualty or damaged to property has been reported as of the time being.
