Computer glitch caused a 76 min. disruption in the Metro Rail Transit 3 operations yesterday morning. MRT Gen. Manager Vitangcol III said the train operations were halted starting at 8:40 am after the communications and signalling system of the stations in Buendia, Ayala, Magallanes and Taft malfunctioned prohibiting the MRT central computer server from monitoring the entire route of the trains. While the problem was being resolved the MRT trains were only allowed to travel from northernmost station in North Ave. up to Shaw Blvd. station in Mandaluyong City. and vice versa. The technical glitch was resolved at about 9:20 am after which trains resumed their normal operations from North Ave. to Taft Ave.
