Chinese tourists topped the foreign arrivals in Boracay in the first two months of 2014 replacing the South Koreans who for several years ranked No. 1. Chinese tourist arrivals reached 52,740 while there were 40,511 tourists from South Korea. Yesterday March 11, Mandarin speaking Chinese tourists arrived in the resort island on board the MS Costa Atlantica Cruise Ship. The Italian vessel with 15 decks is considered as the biggest cruise ship to have so far sailed to his resort island. Some of them are media personalities from different countries in the world who will be doing island tour while in Boracay. This is considered one of the world's biggest luxury cruise ships with 15 decks and a crew of 897 aboard. 12 of the decks are for passengers. The amenities are hotel, casino, cinemas, 4 swimming pools, library, restaurants, spa, theaters and shopping malls. The ship measures 300 meters in length and is 106 feet as it's widest point. After Boracay the luxury liner will proceed to it's next destination in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. On March 20, 2014 another cruise ship MS Europa 2 of Hapag-Lloyd, is expected in Boracay for the 3rd time bringing more Chinese tourists.
