House Speaker Belmonte Jr. said on Thursday that the proposed 4 day work week should be carefully studied. The House a chief branded proposal as "temporary device" during this period of monstrous traffic jams in the metropolis. He also told the reporters at the sidelines of the House of Committee on constitutional amendments hearing on his Charter Change resolution. Quezon City Rep. Castelo chairman of the House of Committee on Metro Manila development proposed a 10 hour 4 day work week for government workers to address the looming traffic jams following the government's infrastructure construction. Under his proposal, employers are expected to save on maintenance cost and overtime pay for workers.
