PNoy Tells Funny Side to Most Tourist

Pres. Aquino has often emphasized his serious resolve to hold accountable persons involve in alleged of misuse of congressional PDAF funds. But on Friday, the president showed off his funny side before some guests in Malacanang, poking fun at a "forgetful Janet Napoles, the Pork Barrel Queen". PNoy seeking to lighten the mood during the courtesy call of the Winter Escapade Fil-Canadian tour group at the palace, drew big laughs when he shared a funny text messages that Napoles couldn't supposedly be featured in the TV show "Maalala Mo Kaya" because she is unable to remember anything. "I recieved a text message that read: Maalala Mo Kaya program plans to feature the life of Mrs. Napoles in an episode. Naturally the scriptwriters interview Mrs. Napoles and asked for her details. For each questions asked by the scriptwriters, Mrs. Napoles just replied: 'I cannot remember'."  "Asked about another issue she said: 'I don't remember anything'. After 5 or 6 hours of interview the scriptwriters were unable to write anything so the 'Maalala Mo Kaya' episode will no longer be pursued." He added.  Janet Lim Napoles is currently detained in a police camp in Laguna pending a trial on plunder charges. She has denied allegations that she masterminded the alleged diversion of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) to bogus Non-Government Organizations. The president at the start of his impromptu remarks, admitted that he often escorts to humor to somehow ease the daily problems he attends to. "Pilipinos are easily to smile, we find humor to somehow ease the burden we are going through" he said. Winter Escapade is a tour program launched by the DFA and the DOT aimed at attracting snowbirds and balikbayans to visit the Philippines during the cold season in the West. The program also aims the boost of country's tourism sector, specifically Western Visayas Boracay Island, Ilo-ilo and Guimaras. PNoy thanked Pilipino-Canadians and Canadians for their support to the Philippine government following the devastation brought by the Super Typhoon Yolanda last year.
