Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday denied reports that several Comelec employees are hooked on illegal drugs. Comelec Spokesperson Jimenez said the allegation is impossible because they regularly conduct drugs test among their employees. On Friday morning agents from Manila Police District Station 5 arrested several suspected drug pushers in a raid in Intramuros, Manila. One of the suspects said some of their buyers are employees of Comelec and other government offices based in Intramuros. Jimenez said it's easy for the suspects to just point fingers on any government agency in the area. Authorities were able to confiscate sachets of shabu and other drug paraphernalia from the suspected drug pushers.
