A week to 2014 and the number of firework related accidents has already gone up to 77. As of Thursday morning Dec. 26, 2013 Dept. of Health Asec. Eric Tayag reported 72 firework related injuries one case of firework ingestion and 4 victims of stray bullets. Although alarming the number of cases so far are still 34% lower than last year's 116 patients recorded covering the same period said Tayag. Tayag said the 1st victim of stray bulletin was 23 yr. old man from Ormoc City, Leyte who suffered open fracture after being the bullet entered his left thigh on Monday Dec. 23, 2013.
