Relief operation of Japan in the Philippines

As announced by the Japanese Ministry of Defense, Japan will mobilize nearly 1,200 soldiers , three warships , 10 planes and six helicopters to participate in the relief operations in the Philippines after the devastation caused to the country by the powerful hurricane. Approximately 1,170 members of the Japanese forces will provide medical support services, quarantine and transportation equipment to the affected areas, while ten others are based on the Manila to coordinate rescue operations in the Philippines and other countries.
