Pope Francis waves to the pilgrims gathered below in St. Peter's Square during the traditional blessing every Sunday and prayers in Vatican. In his address to the public the Pope asked the faithful to pray for the Philippines for the recent earthquake that shook the country. "I want to express my closeness to the people of the Philippines who have been struck by a strong earthquake, and I invite you to pray for that dear nation, which in recent days has suffered different calamities."
