According to a post by Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business for Xbox, the Xbox One will launch on November 22 in 13 launch markets around the world.
The post notes that the countries that will officially get to purchase the console first will be Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA. Additional markets will follow gradually by 2014.
The console is also said to be getting a power boost. Mehdi mentioned that "the development team has increased the CPU from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ, roughly a 10 percent increase in CPU performance." A 6% increase was also previously announced for the console's graphical processing unit (GPU).
The Xbox One is set for a US$499 price point.
