COTABATO CITY, Aug. 30 – - An explosion rocked the house of Barangay Rosary Heights 10 here before dawn Friday, instigating panic in the neighborhood.
The blast, which specifically occurred along Sitio Malagapas in the village, hurt no one but inflicted damage to property.
Village chief Anwar Lucas said he and his wife were roused from their sleep around 2:00 a.m. after a hand grenade tossed by motorcycle-riding men landed some two meters away from their bedroom window and exploded.
“The blast shattered the glass jalousies in our bedroom and damaged two vehicles parked in our compound,” he said.
Lucas said he has no known enemies, but has long crusaded against all forms of criminalities in his village.
“I might have hit robbery gangs or drug pushers in their operation in my village so they want to get back at me,” he stressed.
Police is still investigating the incident. (PNA)
