Continues in Athens the business of Greek Police to punish crime. Within a week (23/3-29/3) arrested 74 illegal aliens and seized 7,923 items of illegal trading
specifically:
-Arrested 74 foreigners because did not meet the legal requirements for their stay in the country, as well as other violations of the Aliens Act.
-Arrested three persons (Greek and foreign) for violations of drug laws, smuggling, pending convictions
-Seized 7,923 items paremporiou smuggling (cigarettes, clothing, pirated CD - DVD's etc).
Noted that since the start of the operation have been arrested 5,041 foreigners, because they did not meet the legal requirements to remain Greece.
