The Ministry of Public Order is expected to operate six new First Reception Centers and Detention of migrants, aiming to double the possible hosting of illegal immigrants entering our country.
The ministry estimates that with the new centers, the Greece will be able to accommodate 10,000 illegal immigrants from 5000 is today, according to a Sunday newspaper.
The plan of the ministry initially include siting new detention center in the old MOT Chowder Ioannina, and then, in Chios, Samos and Lesvos.
The Centre in Ioannina had been at the center of debate during the recent visit of Minister Nikos Dendias in Epirus.
Furthermore, two centers, the "outskirts" of the city of Chios and Samos in Vathi, will work the next time, as they are in places that in the past harboring illegal immigrants.
