History of the Service Center for Foreigners in Greece
Law 2910 / 01 provided an opportunity for illegal aliens residing in Greece to provide justifications for their legitimacy.

Initially the Municipality of Athens worked seven reception centers aliens ( from 8:00 to 20:00 ) and placed about 55,000 applications are sent in Attica on the issue or non- residence permits.

The 7 centers gradually dissolved and operated a downtown street Sophocles 70 and Piraeus .

End of 2001 when most deposited from third countries more applications for renewal of their residence permit , change requests data etc, created the Department of Immigration Service , affiliated to the Directorate of Social Care and Health .

In 2002, 30,000 applications were lodged in 2003 and 70,000 in 2004 filed 86,000 .

Mid-year 2003 started the computerization of the service , which was upgraded in 2004 and now claims transmitted electronically to Attica . This gave the opportunity to have more comprehensive statistics .

In January 2005 the Department of Foreign moved into new, larger building at Psarron & Maizonos 45- Athens, in order to better serve the increasing needs of most service.

General Information
There are 9 different types of permits in Greece for foreigners you could obtain in your local Municipality or Service Center for Foreigners(exept the last one(No 9) all the other permits DOES NOT required a lawyer or any Helper , filipinos can do it alone , everywhere and FREE
1. For information, obtaining documents and licenses necessary to provide passport and valid residence permit or certificate of deposit request.
2. For filing or receiving documents / licenses from third necessary authorization stamped with the signature is genuine.
3. Any change in the status of the alien (marriage, birth, death) or change of address / passport / employer etc notifiable in one month otherwise there is a penalty

1) Visa for family reunion

The Filipino must have completed two (2) years of residence in Greece.

Required documents:
1. Applicant's passport
2. Residence permit applicant.
3. Marital status certificate certified by Greek consular authorities or APOSTILE from countries that have joined the Hague Convention.
4. Health card renewed.
5. Photocopy of passport of family members of the invitee.
6. Income tax return with 10.300 € for his / her spouse and an additional 15% for each added family member.
7. Statutory Declaration that members cohabiting (data, telephone and address members in the country of origin).
8. A lease contract or statement from the owner of the house (legalized) that rents the house to the applicant

2) Dependent work L.3386/2005 Article 15 / service provider or project

6. A certified copy of the employment contract stamped signature is the employer of a public authority, for a total monthly salary of at least 764,14 €. Excludes resident workers , builders, private nurses and workers in agricultural work which by nature of their profession , they are unable to produce agreement.
7. Confirmation that an application to the relevant insurer to cover hospital expenses , medical and accident .
8. Certificate of Public Health Nursing Institution that is not suffering from a contagious disease
Renewal
All the above documents plus :
1. Valid residence permit - certified copy
2 . Fee of 300 € ( payable in service)
3 . Stamps (Ika)last two years:
- Requiring a total of 300 stamps for builders , cleaners and generally insured employed by several employers .
Required- 400 stamps(Ika) for relationship stable employee
4. Proof of fulfillment of tax obligations . ( tax record )
5. Health booklet stamped by Ika .

10. Certificate of Public Health Nursing Institution that is not suffering from a contagious disease
Renewal

3 . Statutory Declaration that the sponsor has not changed marital status .
When children are aged between 18 and 21 years , according to L.3386/2005 Article 60 requires a separate update
